It was produced by Michael Rozon. In songs like Deng Xiaoping, Sewers of Bangkok, IMF and Shioda I began to explore the dark side of globalization. I was trying to tell the stories of the people who are left behind. I was also obsessed with the worlds of merchant shipping, international commerce and the global narco trade. I think that those were the overall themes of the album. In Shams, I told a story that related to an obsession that I had with a Goddess who is supposed to live in the sea south of Java. Back to shop
